Instead of beginning with a definition, invite the reader into a story. Imagine standing before the King.The evidence is overwhelming. Every charge is true. There is no defence. No appeal. Justice demands a verdict.
Instead of being sent away, you are welcomed into the King's family. That is only a glimpse...of God's amazing grace.
What Is Grace?
Grace is God's undeserved favour shown to sinners through Jesus Christ. It is His free gift of forgiveness, mercy and new life.
Grace is never deserved.
Grace is always received.
What Grace Is Not
Grace is not...
- Pretending sin doesn't matter.
- Ignoring justice.
- Rewarding good behaviour.
- Something God owes us.
- Permission to continue living in sin.
God's grace never ignores justice.
Instead, justice is completely satisfied through Jesus Christ.
What the Bible Teaches
Paul writes:
"For it is by grace you have been saved..."
(Ephesians 2:8–9)
Grace begins with God. Before we reached for Him, He reached for us. Grace is God's initiative.
Salvation is God's gift. Jesus is God's provision.

Have you ever queued for something only to discover you'd been standing in the wrong queue all along?
Many people spend life standing in the "I'll earn God's love" queue.
Grace gently says,**"You don't have to queue anymore. The King has already invited you in."**
Common Misunderstandings
The gospel says the opposite.
God accepts us by grace, then begins transforming us from the inside out.
Good works are the fruit of grace, never the price of grace.

Why do we need grace?
Because every one of us has sinned and cannot save ourselves. Grace is God's gift of forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ.
Can grace be earned?
No.
Does grace mean we can continue living in sin?
No.
Grace forgives us, then teaches us to live differently, growing more like Christ each day.

Closing Thought
Grace is the King welcoming us into His family through His Son.
We approached Him expecting judgement.
We discovered mercy.
We came as guilty sinners.
We were welcomed as beloved sons and daughters.
That is the wonder of God's amazing grace.
👑Prayer
thank You for Your amazing grace shown through Jesus Christ. Thank You that salvation is Your gift, not our achievement. Help us to live each day in grateful obedience, reflecting the mercy we have received.
Teach us to extend that same grace to others.
May our lives point people to Christ, our gracious King. In His precious name, Amen.
