🌿 How Do We Receive Saving Grace?

Imagine the King has opened the doors of His Kingdom and offers a gift beyond anything you could ever achieve.

• The gift is already prepared.
• The price has already been paid.
• The invitation has already been given.
• But the gift must still be received.
• You cannot purchase it.
• You cannot work for it.
• You cannot prove that you deserve it.

You simply come with humble hands and receive what the King freely offers.
This is how we receive God's saving grace.

🌿 Acknowledge Our Need

The first step is recognising that we need to be rescued.

The Bible tells us:

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23 (NIVUK)

Before we can receive grace, we must understand why we need grace.
A person who believes they need no rescue will never look for a Saviour.

🌿 Repent and Turn Towards God

Grace does not leave us unchanged.
Repentance means turning away from sin and turning towards God.

Peter called people to:

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out." 
— Acts 3:19 (NIVUK)

Repentance is not earning forgiveness.
It is responding to the love and mercy God has already shown.

🌿 Believe in Jesus Christ

Saving grace is received through faith in Jesus Christ.

Paul writes:

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9 (NIVUK)

Faith trusts that Jesus is who He says He is and that His death and resurrection are enough for our salvation.

🌿 Come Humbly Before the King

Grace leaves no room for pride.
We do not approach God saying, "Look what I have achieved."

We come saying, "Lord, I need Your mercy."

Scripture reminds us:

"God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble." — James 4:6 (NIVUK)

🌿 Come Boldly to Receive His Help

Because of Jesus, we are invited into God's presence.

The writer of Hebrews encourages us:

"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." — Hebrews 4:16 (NIVUK)

The King who saves us is also the King who sustains us.
Saving grace is not only the beginning of our journey with Christ.
It is the grace that carries us every step of the way.
